2019 Battle of the Books
In 2019, the Battle of the Books Grand Traverse filled all 48 teams slots plus two alternate teams.
Of the ten book titles, popular choices among the readers
were Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH, Sidekicks, Hoot, and Where The Mountain Meets the Moon.
Grace Lin, author of Where the Mountain Meets the Moon, shared her inspirations in writing the book and
had everyone drawing their own Chinese dragons.
