Tournament Overview

Teams of 4-6 fourth and fifth graders read from a list of eight books chosen to appeal to a variety of interests and introduce young readers to a wide range of books. During battle season, readers meet with their teammates to discuss the books and create a Board Game based on one of the books. Reading is a shared activity that culminates Tournament Day, a day long event.  Teams will rotate through 4 areas on Tournament Day:  Team Battles, Lightning Trials, Games Arena & Players Court.  At the end of the day, teams will be treated to a presentation from the featured author of one of the books.
