2018 Battle of the Books

In 2018, the Battle of the Books Grand Traverse tweaked the competition format
so that twelve teams advanced to the Semi-Finals.

Of the ten book titles, some especially popular choices among the readers
were The War That Saved My Life, Save Me A Seat, and The Fourteenth Goldfish.

Peter Brown, author of The Wild Robot, shared wonderful images from his writing and illustration process and inspired everyone with how a small drawing of a robot can become an incredible tale of survival,
kindness, and perseverance.
